Here's the place to come and talk about the latest episode.
Looks like we're in for a few laughs with this one.

Dean fangirling over Dr. Sexy M.D. and Sam in a commercial about Herpes! LOL!
I loved seeing the trickster actor back. He's a hoot!
Oh, and the comment Sam made when Dean was digging in the trunk! Snicker!

Other than the funnies that you guys mentioned, I generally seriously disliked this eppy. Since I did all my ranting in a different forum, I'll leave this post as such

I didn't like it either. It was boring and not that funny. Although there were a couple of funny spots. Maybe I'd like it better the second time around. Kitt car Sam had some funny spots and Dean and Dr. sexy(Hello guy from Andromeda whose name I can't remember) had funny spots but the rest was meh.
I disliked it for totally different reason than half the fandom because even though i didn't like the idea behind the trickster being Gabriel(I was starting to expect him to be Uriel in disguise actually) I still think the story will unwrinkle itself as it goes and these sorts of episode will make sense later or maybe it never will make sense. LOL
This trickster being Gabriel thing does kind of screw up this big theory I had going about the trickster playing some ultimate joke on the boys since the end of mystery spot.
A giant lesson to the both of them as to what each of them will do if they continued on the path they were on. And then at the end of it rewind to after mystery spot to find that everything since then was an au world of the tricksters making.
Now that would have cleared up a whole lot of stuff I think and leave it open for Sam to save Dean and have a season six if they get renewed.

So I did enjoy much of this episode. Although, I'm getting tired of Sam repeatedly getting STDs...much more appropriate for Dean really if they must go there. He's the one with a girl in every hotel room. Did enjoy the commercial more than the 'Clap' last ep though. I laughed through most of the TV show part of the ep and enjoyed the return of the Trickster. He's a great supernatural villain and Richard Speight Jr. does a wonderful job. Not so fond of the reveal that he's been Gabriel all along. I'll see how that ends up though. So in conclusion until the final reveal I was really enjoying the ep but many very thoughtful points have been brought up about how that completely contradicts the first 2 seasons and has loads of issues and I can see where they are coming from. I tend to not dwell overly much on all of this though and usually just enjoy reading everyone's varying takes so I'll def. keep watching.

I generally don't like the episodes when they try to be too funny. I like it when they are serious, but funny things happen or are said along the way. Do they writers write these for themselves?
I did laugh at a few things though. And it was not the worst episode I have ever seen.

Yeah when they try to be funny it seems to fall flat for me. I guess I prefer subtle dry humour and stuff with movie refs thinks that you have to think about. I guess it depends too where they are placing it like black rock had some pretty funny stuff in it and yellow fever but this just was silly to begin with so the humour just felt even sillier.
It took me forever to figure out what show they were spoofing at the beginning too and I still can't think of the name but I remember watching it. It had a name like 'just friends' or something like that which considering all the stuff about j2 I can see why they chose that one. It was about these two roommates and the one guy was an immigrant I think his name was balki or something like that. Did you guys used to watch it? the opening credits scene was totally spoofed from it the playing football and running around the park til they fell down together.LOL I'll have to see if I can find it on imdb.

I found it! Only by looking up Balkie. LOL Ok don't ask how I can remember the name of a guy from a show I watched in the early nineties but not robert carlisles character from stargate Universe that I watched last night...go figure.
I was way off on thetv shows name it was called perfect strangers which too could be kind of fitting from the sam and dean point of view. they were cousins in the show though.
